Water Mitigation part 3. Here are the final photos of a restoration job we did in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. After a faulty washing machine flooded this beach house we were hired to mitigate damages and restore the home to it's pre-damaged condition. All of the laminate flooring was removed as well as the tile in the laundry room. We removed all of the kitchen base cabinets where the water had seeped under them. We discovered some suspected microbial growth and contained the area. We then treated the affected areas with an antimicrobial solution as per IICRC guidelines. After replacing some saturated subfloor and removing all of the spray foam we then dried the entire area with dehumidifiers and air movers. We are an IICRC Certified Firm and use best…

Water Mitigation Part 2, Santa Rosa Beach in progress. Our client, an absentee owner had a washing machine malfunction that flooded part of the house. We removed all of the affected cabinets, continuous wood laminate flooring and the tile in the laundry room. We found small areas of microbial growth on drywall, cabinets and the underside of the flooring and tile. We treated the entire area with antimicrobial solution and will thoroughly dry it all to below 14% moisture content before installing the new floors. We also wrote the estimate using Xactimate which helped our client get an easy approval from his insurance company to pay for it all! Stay tuned! We will update with the finished project soon.
